Spider-Man
Cartoon Character
Born: 1962
Birthplace: The Comics
Best known as: Web-slinging costumed superhero
Spider-Man is the creation of Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, his artistic partner Jack Kirby, and artist Steve Ditko. Spider-Man first appeared in 1962 in the Marvel comic Amazing Fantasy #15; his own series, The Amazing Spider-Man, began the next year. According to the story line, Spider-Man is the alter ego of student Peter Parker; an accidental bite from a radioactive spider gave Parker the arachnid's relative strength and agility plus a tingling "spider sense" for danger. After his Uncle Ben is killed by a burglar, Parker determines to use his new powers to fight crime, dressed in a mask and form-fitting costume and equipped with spider-like web slingers. Ongoing characters in the Spider-Man universe include his love interest Mary Jane Watson, kindly worrywart Aunt May, hothead Daily Bugle publisher Jonah Jameson and exotic villains Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin. Spider-Man became a daily comic strip in 1977, and has been featured in a variety of animated TV series. The Spider-Man movie series (2002, 2004, 2007) featured Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane. The Broadway musical, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark (2010) featured music by Bono and The Edge of the band U2.
Extra credit: In some of the ongoing versions of the storyline, Spider-Man has married Mary Jane and they are separated or Mary Jane is presumed dead... In some versions the spider which bit Peter Parker is genetically altered rather than radioactive... The character Spider-Girl is a futuristic spinoff of the Spider-Man story, with Peter Parker's teenage daughter taking on his crimefighting ways...

[edit]Plot
The Sultan of Zanzibar has a harbor infested with sharks, which makes it impossible for ships to trade with him. In an attempt to fix the problem, he brings twelve hippos into the harbor to keep the sharks away. His idea works well enough, but once the hippos are no longer a novelty and the people no longer feed them, they begin to starve. After the hungry hippos rampage through the city looking for food, Aban-Khan, the king's adviser, slaughters all the hippos except one, a little hippo named Hugo. Hugo escapes across the sea to the city of Dar es Salaam, on the African mainland.
A group of children find Hugo and attempt to hide him as best they can, building a garden to feed and take care of him. However, Hugo is discovered and the garden is burned to prevent the children wasting their time with him and neglecting their schoolwork. Hugo is forced to scavenge from the local farms for food, and is put on trial for the damage his nighttime raids caused.
Fortunately, the children manage to contact the Sultan who agrees to ap
this affair. As a result, the hippo is released and the children agree to care for the hippo for the rest of his days
pear in court to speak for Hugo. The ruler makes a powerfully impassioned speech about how the hippos were mistreated both by their neglect and their uncalled for culling, which removes all doubt that Hugo is the true injury

Editorial Reviews
From the Publisher
Charles Brame is a man of many talents. Teacher, gandydancer, WWII soldier, professional musician, farmer, Lincoln look-alike, and humanitarian, he next decided to become an author. His first book, Honestly Abe, won the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award for biography in 1999. In this revised edition 1/3 of its pages are either new material or nave been redrawn or rewritten. It features an expanded bibliography, a list of outstanding Lincoln web sites, and a glossary of historical and archaic terms. In paperback at $16.95, it is more and better Lincoln for less.
From the Author
During my 33 years of teaching and a quarter of century of portraying Abraham Lincoln on the stage, in the movies and on TV I did my very best to present the second millennium's most beloved person in as truthful and artistic manner as possible. Honestly Abe is the fruit of a half century of research, teaching and artistic endeavor. Its publication is in response to numerous requests from my students and audiences to put to paper what I did in the classroom and before my audiences. This book is an extension of my work to a much larger audience and furthers my basic belief that when you know a great person better, it makes you and our world much greater.

Dolphin Cartoon Images Biography

Name: Razor the Dolphin
Gender: Male
Species: Bottlenose Dolphin
Age: 15
5th 'Big Swan' character created.
Video: [link]
UPDATE (10 Nov 2012) : Applied the Pressure Tool on the linework layer and moved my signature.
Conceptualisation:
Razor the Dolphin made his debut in a 2010 school art project (a comic entitled 'The Revenge Of Domok') with  as my groupmate. It was a requirement for every group (of 5 students) to have a total of 5 characters in their comic. Since the other 3 lazy bums didn't contribute at all, I was allowed 1 more character to draw, and  was allowed to draw 2 more characters. So I had Peatail [link] in the comic, and designed Razor to be his ally.  already had 1 character of her own, so she designed the other 2 characters - the villians of our comic. (Thanks, lazy bums! If not for you guys, Razor wouldn't have existed )
Note that his design (especially the concept of having a laser gun strapped on his back) is heavily inspired from a game called 'Laser Dolphin' [link]
Generation 1 (2005-2009): Does not exist
Generation 2 (2010-present):
I haven't drawn him in any other form other than in 'The Revenge Of Domok', but I'm planning to have him appear in 'Big Swan Issue 2: Journey of Misfortunes'. He has a very firm and military-like tone, having studied at the Academy of Military Dolphins.
Abilties and Strengths:
An expert at firepower and is very agile for an underwater creature. When beached on land, he can move like a seal (clumsily) to quickly get back into water. When there is no other defense/attack option, Razor will emit a high-pitched sonic pulse in front of him.
Weaknesses:
Is unable to survive on land for long.
